Recreation on Key Biscayne
Key Biscayne was made for recreation.
Most any form of recreation that does not involve ice, snow, or mountains can be found here on Key Biscayne. Being a barrier island located in tropical south Florida just six miles off of the coast of the state, so close to Miami, South Beach, and International Airports has even more benefits than at first meets the eye. Key Biscayne provides the most optimal environment with its miles of white sandy beaches with the protected of waters of Biscayne Bay on one side and the Atlantic Ocean on the other.
The weather is enjoyably tropical year round.
Naturally everybody wants to enjoy it in their own way and because Key Biscayne is only just over 5 miles in length with nearly 4 of those miles being beach parks, one does not have to go very far to enjoy the recreation of their choosing. Whether it is laying in a hammock strung between two coconut trees, on a towel on the beach, on the deck of a boat, riding a bike through the miles of bike paths, or picking up golf clubs, tennis racquets, fishing poles, or swimming goggles, there will be a place to enjoy within walking distance. Team sports such as soccer, football, baseball, and basketball are also available for your pleasure and enjoyment.
